The iBotics Stingray Project
The 2009 Stingray is a fully autonomous submarine constructed by the San Diego iBotics Student Engineering Society for entry in AUVSI & ONR’s 12th International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition. This section highlights some of the engineering and components that are being used to develop the Stingray, our design concept for the AUVSI 2009 International AUV competition.
The Stingray incorporates some of the highest quality AUV components available on the market. But what really makes the Stingray stand out is the innovation and ingenuity that the iBotics team brings to the development of this vehicle. The 2009 Stingray is by far the best entry the iBotics team has turned out yet, and this will surely be demonstrated at this year’s competition.
