Best Paper in Session Award
At the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control.
Member: IEEE, Tau Beta Pi, ASHRAE
Extracurricular Activities
iBotics Project Manager
In charge of systems design and integration, coordinating the various engineering teams, and managing the project life cycle.
Project Advisor
Advisor for the following academic projects: ES Vehicle, Magnetic Levitator, Antenna Positioning, Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, Axial Flux Motor.
Magnetic Levitator Team Project
Design and build a magnetic levitator using microprocessor and PID Feedback control.
MEMS Accelerometer Design Team Project
Design and build the next generation MEMS Accelerometer base on sponsor specification. A laser, lenses, microprocessor, and diode were used to measure Acceleration and display the value on a LCD.
Robotics Team Project
Design, build, and program a robot to compete with other team-built robots. The contest calls for the robot to launch golf balls over a 12" wall into the three 6"x6"x4" containers 2 feet away.
Robotics Team Project
Design and build a robot to compete with other team-built robots. The contest calls for the robot to retrieve as many balls as possible and if possible stop the other team from getting any balls in 3 minute.
Programming Project
Programming a fish environment using C++ where the fishes interact with each other and go through life cycles.
Current Employment
Research Assistant
University of California, San Diego
Research in autonomous vehicle to track a light source without position information using Extremum Seeking. This involved simulating, designing, and building vehicles.
Teaching Assistant
University of California, San Diego
TA the following classes: MAE 105 Introduction to Mathematical Physics, MAE 140 Linear Circuit Theory, MAE 143B Linear Control, MAE 156A Fundamental Principles of Mechanical Design.
Previous Employment
Intern
Solar Turbines Team Internship
Given the task of find Reliability and Availability of turbines and suggest ways to improve Availability by making the control system more robust and adaptive.
Scientist Assistant
University of California, San Diego
Worked on an invention that increased power output of solar panels..
